And that’s a wrap!

Awesomeness Fest Puerto Vallarta, which took place November 6-9 in Mexico, just wrapped up and it was EPIC.

Now, I know what you’re thinking… we often describe Awesomeness Fest in that way.

But we’ve heard from our repeat Afesters this was without a doubt the best event yet.

The location was gorgeous, the speakers were awesome, but as usual, it was the 350 incredible entrepreneurs, leaders and game changers who attended that made this event so special.

Seriously, the energy, smarts and overall ‘awesomeness’ of this group was incredible!

We had some absolutely spectacular speakers including our wonderful friend – and star of The Secret – Lisa Nichols; inventor and Google genius Tom Chi; best-selling author Sonia Choquette; entrepreneur Rajesh Setty; entrepreneur and author Chris Guillebeau; founder of Ziva Meditation Emily Fletcher; comedian Kyle Cease; healer and coach Renee Airya; and lastly, co-founder of The Big Life Carl Harvey.

We also had special guest Anil Gupta take the stage. Anil is a bestselling author, professional speaker, Harvard speaker and celebrity coach. He was brilliant.

And then came the evenings….

Here are some of the highlights:

The day before Awesomeness Fest Puerto Vallarta Lisa Nichols gave an intimate workshop session, complementary for Afesters. She was wonderful, as usual, and created a whole lot of contagious inspiration and energy. It was life changing.

That night, we held a Dia de los Muertos or ‘Day of the Dead’ pre-event cocktail party complete with face painters, stilt walkers and live music. Already we were off to a great start.

On day one of Awesomeness Fest we had a white party on the beach, and wow did everyone look great! The entertainment for the evening included stilt walkers, jugglers and aerialists. They were pure magic.

On day two, we had a Mexican ranch costume party at a local hacienda, a Mexican estate owned by modern day cowboys and farmers. As you can image the costumes were quite something.

We had a Mariachi band playing, a dancing horse and of course, the venue wasn’t complete without margarita, churro, guacamole and tortilla stations. We ended the evening by watching a beautiful fireworks display over the valley.

On day three, we had a pool party! Well, technically it was a pool and beach party. The party started in the pool but eventually folks make their way onto the sand and had a jam session under the stars.

Finally, on day four we held the Awesomeness Fest Puerto Vallarta closing party. We loaded everyone onto 3 boats and cruised the coastline whist listening to music, chatting to new friends and sipping on sunset cocktails. We anchored at a place called Los Arcos where we went snorkelling, paddle boarding and kayaking.

I know, I know. How good does that sound! It gets better.

We then arrived at our closing party destination, a magical private island where we were greeted by mermaids and mythological creatures; and the magical sound of a conch shell.

We had dinner on a hill overlooking the ocean surrounded by over 3,000 candles and then moved down to the beach where we danced under the stars, with our toes in the sand, to the sweet tunes of our incredible DJ’s.

We even witnessed one of our attendees proposing to his beautiful partner.

Can you believe it? A real life proposal! *swoon*

While we were having all these transformations and loads of fun, we were also able to raise a remarkable amount of money to donate to our charity partner, the XPRIZE Foundation. We also organized an optional Give Back Day as an opportunity for our attendees to contribute to the location of the event.  More info on this coming soon.

This event was a real game changer for us.

Our west event is always very special and pretty epic, but this event takes the cake. We knew we were onto something when the event sold out in record time, a whopping 3 months in advance.

While we’re sad it’s over, the next stop for Awesomeness Fest is Croatia and then the following will be located in or around the Caribbean around November 2015.

We’ll be announcing confirmed dates and location in the coming months but make sure you sign up to our mailing list so that you’re the first to know when tickets go on sale.
